Aimo Part 1: The Birth of a New Legacy
On the 9th of July 2024, Officer Ebrim of the ZSD admitted an individual known only as Crazyman into Zilatra. He was unknown to the world at this time, but a humble immigrant who settled in Drudakroz with zero strings attached to his name. Little would the nation know that this individual would someday tower as not only a pervasive figure in Zilatran society, but stand as a representation of the Zilatran people as a whole. To explain this correlation, the analysis must begin at the very beginning.
Late 2021, in the realm of Eldham. The United Socialist States of Eldham are born in the continent of Serrona, created by a later-disgraced PolPotist who went by the name Aboniert Ormidus. It begins around the Crosotex region as a small collection of communes held together by their socialist ideals. The nation is young and full of struggle in a world of increasingly competitive powers and cutthroat opportunists. And yet, the USSE is full of flaws and still struggles to maintain itself. However, early on, a young politician and theorist by the name of Xeroise Ronango'O has made a name for herself in the nation, passionately advocating for a new consensus that will be called Xeroism. The ideals of this political theory will define the history of the USSE and many nations throughout history.
Slightly later 2021. The USSE, even though forming its new national identity around Xeroist thought, still wavers and buckles under the mandates the world imposes. In the Kunir War, it loses much of its territory to Vanakunir, a stronger neighbour that forces it to backtrack on its progress. Meanwhile, much of the government, including the president, has fallen into inactivity, and many doubt whether the nation will live another month.
Then arrives a new migrant by the name of Chelovek Serebra. He is new to the USSE and yet is enthusiastic to come up with solutions to the problems he clearly sees in his nation. His strike in Vostroya forces the government to meet demands for workers' rights, and soon he is at the nation's helm. With his reforms, the nation begins racing through what many call a golden age. The USSE is back on track.
Mid October, 2022. The USSE has reached a zenith in power. In the past year, it has grown politically under the directives of individuals such as Chelovek, Xeroise, and Lethe, and economically with the immense contributions of members such as Urabon. Even after vassalization under the mighty Uraki Imperium, the USSE emerged unscathed. This led to the formation of the Eldham Union, an alliance of eastern Eldhamite nations with the USSE at the helm that was united diplomatically and militarily. With the respected Krakhov of Kazakaya orchestrating the Union, it dominated world politics for a time. However, then came the 28th of October. Bhutch, historically dubbed the Unfortunate, followed the lead of Lethe and withdrew from the Eldham Union illegally in an act of gross government overreach. Around the same period, the ex-General Secretary Lethe revealed their traitorous intentions and seceded a number of USSE claims, including Laria, from the nation. A time of troubles followed these events as the nation entered a time of isolation known as Gato Saū.
And yet, despite the shrinking of USSE power in late 2022, the nation moved forward. It recovered and regrew, and by late 2023 had shown itself as a world power under the leadership of Marshal Magerius Ukumari. June-September proved to ba a time of stability, and even during international threats later in the year the nation held diplomatically and showed its military strength in preparing for an assault that never ended up coming.
By February, with the realm of Eldham coming to a close, the nation defeated its ancient enemies in Sylvania and reconquered Laria. The USSE dominated Serrona, and by the coming of Iristor's Comet, boasted the largest economy, one of the top populations, and arguably one of Eldham's greatest military alliances. With the end of the world, the nation made the decision to split into two: Sentara under the monarchical leadership of Magerius, and Zilatra under the Xeroist leadership of Krakhov. With this, in late March 2024, the first Zilatrans stepped foot onto Kejafros in Abexilas and began to settle the frozen lands.
Zilatra grew slowly, and as the first months passed it could not shake its ancestry. Given the vast majority of the population hailed from the USSE, and not everyone had been in favour of the full split, discussion at this time revolved around the old nation and the relations between Zilatra and Sentara. The oldheads were still laser-focused on the sideview mirrors instead of the road ahead, and so progress lacked. But in early July, a change occurred that would shape the future Zilatran history. The creator of the world, StoneyStoner, released a YouTube video completely focused on the USSE, and suddenly thousands of people's eyes were on the nation and its spiritual successor, Zilatra. Dozens upon dozens flocked to Zilatra, resulting in an enormous demographic upheaval that transformed the nation in a matter of a couple of weeks. And among the early migrants to Ziltara was a person by the name of Crazyman.
