Ashkavar Wins Battle of Kedarak
The griefed landscape of Kedarak, the tops of towers in neighboring Sifedşovan visible in the background. Cobwebs, holes, and pools of water litter the landscape, a sign that a war had been fought there.

The Ashkavari Korqoriat, with assistance from our country and a number of other nations, has come out victorious in the Battle of Kedarak which started early this morning. Their enemy, Amiris, is a successor state to the Eldhamite Ashtrokan-Wandenreich Empire.

In March, Zilatra and Ashkavar signed a mutual-defense pact, which Zilatra upheld as it entered into battle for the defense of the Korqoriat under the leadership of Karaqhor Haroun II. Kedarak is a fortress situated on the Amirisian border in the Amashitan Mountains, which has since been griefed into oblivion. It was one of the first towns to be founded in Ashkavar, being made 97 years ago in 3 VE.

Map of the Ashkavari Korqoriat, the border of Kdarak and Sifedsovan can be seen in the Eastern part of the country.

For those who know the functions of war on Stoneworks, Ashkavar, on the defense, received 162 points and killed 66 people, obtaining a whole siege point in the process. By comparison, the attackers who came from Zamrud and a nearby "re-pot" station received merely 2 capture points and only managed to kill 35, a drastic victory for the defending Ashkavaris.

It should be noted how crippling this defeat was for those warring Ashkavar. Kedarak was twice the size, had zero ganks, was high in the mountains, and Ashkavar was drastically outnumbered, all of which are extreme weaknesses for a defending claim. In spite of this, Ashkavar managed to fight off the invading army to storming success. A noted friend of Zilatra, Liberatus of the Valdic Union, announced the details of this victory internally.

Comrade Faelyn Lancaster, the Vice Premier of Zilatra's Kelitá, stated the following to our reporters:

"Our comrades who fought in the frontlines showed strength and bravery throughout the battle. We should commemorate them for their service, letting them know their nation and it's people are proud of them."

Comrade Zaaki Iletriosa, the Interior Commissar, offered the following quotation to our paper:

"This was a battle I honestly was expecting to lose. I heard we were outnumbered but it appeared we kinda overwhelmed them anyway. The Sentarans / Zilatrans were focused on destroying capture blocks underground while the battle raged on the surface."
