ZSD Investigating Possible Connection to Ongoing Glass-Shard Murders!

HAFUMEL, Hajamal Province — Former Deputy Secretary and longtime architect of modern Zilatra, Comrade Samintra Bahri-Iletriosa si Rahada, died last night following a fall from the altar platform of the Cat Statue on Mount Kubey, according to an urgent transmission issued by the Zilatran Security Department. The incident occurred at approximately 20:10 local time. Emergency medical personnel responded immediately and transported Comrade Bahri-Iletriosa to Lasaji General Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries without regaining consciousness.

In a statement, the ZSD confirmed that investigators are treating the case as suspicious.

Witnesses reportedly observed an unidentified individual near the cliff edge shortly before the fall. Authorities additionally recovered glass fragments at the site matching evidence linked to the ongoing series of so-called “glass-shard murders” currently under investigation across multiple provinces.

No suspects have yet been identified.

The death of Comrade Bahri-Iletriosa has prompted widespread mourning throughout Hafumel and across Zilatra. Born in Hafumel, Samintra Bahri-Iletriosa studied architecture at the University of Zilatra before rising to prominence during the reconstruction efforts that reshaped much of the country following years of crisis and instability. Her early work restoring the University’s historic complex and later leadership in the Hafumel Reconstruction Project established her as one of the defining architectural voices of her generation.

Though widely known for her later political career, her first steps into public life were as a civic organizer. Over decades of public life, she became associated with cultural festivals, urban renewal initiative and public infrastructure projects. Comrade Bahri-Iletriosa first entered national politics during the 8th Kelitá. She later served as Kelitá Premier, overseeing a broad legislative review of the Constitution, and the Statutory, and Criminal Codes.

Her subsequent terms as Commissar of Construction shaped many of modern Zilatra’s public works projects, including continued expansion of the Metro and National Road systems and redevelopment initiatives in Yaczaya, A'Kajden, and the newly renamed Zaaqi-Hasz.

During the Abyssal Virus crisis, she served within the Provisional Authority in Yaczaya, coordinating scientific and survival efforts while caring for displaced children later adopted into the Bahri family, after which she started to focus on private life until she returned to executive office in 135 VE as Deputy Secretary with Kabatri si Palmeliya in what became known as the Bahri Administration. The administration emphasized executive transparency, public cultural programming, diplomatic outreach, and modernization of the Commissariats.

Following her retirement from national politics in 149 VE after more than seven decades of public service, Bahri-Iletriosa remained active in Hafumel civic affairs and continued advising Commissar of Construction Comrade Sifii Uztyur:k on restoration and infrastructure projects.

She is survived by her husband, Joku Iletriosa, her children Szya and Alison Shienok Bahri-Iletriosa, and friends spread across communes throughout Zilatra.

The ZSD has urged citizens to refrain from circulating unverified information while the investigation remains ongoing.
