Gonfist Church Elects New Pope
Pope Alexandrius I gives his first announcement after being elected as Pope.

AETERNA — Following the 25th Papal Conclave, the clergy of the Core Gonfist Church has elected a new Pope in the revered city of Aeterna. The one to ascend to the position is the Archbishop of Tiberia, who has taken the name Alexandrius I.

As the largest religion in Abexilas, and one of the largest in Zilatra, this has marked celebration for some across the country, namely in New Falka, which is expected to host a mass with the new Pope in the future.

Demographics have shift in Zilatra, with many turning towards atheism, and a stiff rivalry between Cubists, Gonfists, and Hrabs emerging. Only time will tell if this new Pope will see a return to great Gonfist relevance in Zilatra, but internal murmurs in the Church have predicted that the Bishop of Zilatra may be appointed a Cardinal.
