Lenja Iuminov Resigns

GASZALASI — To the surprise of many in Zilatra, the General Secretary Lenja Iuminov has suddenly resigned from office. In her place, the former Deputy Secretary Ivan Iuminov is now the General Secretary of Zilatra.

Whether or not an Inaugural event is planned, is yet to be announced. It also remains unclear who will exactly become the next Deputy Secretary.

Constitutionally, the Partisan Chair Alisa Nikitina would be set to become the next Deputy Secretary according to the line of succession. However, talks are set to happen with the High Judge Szal si Ahuden to formalize whether or not Nikitina will be forced to take the role, if so, she is expected to likely resign. Others options that have been proposed is allowing Comrade Iuminov to simply select a new Deputy Secretary and have it approved via a public confirmation vote. The Crimson Quill will update the masses once word has been approved of what the next course of action will be.

We salute Comrade Lenja Iuminov as she retires from the office of General Secretary. Over the duration of her term, we saw the end to the Zilatran financial recession and the rebirth of our Citizens' Market, new development initiatives nationwide, our Anniversary event, and countless more works under her tenure. She is remembered fondly across Zilatra, and we wish Comrade Ivan Iuminov the best success as he ascends to the highest executive office in the country.
