Nikitina Found Innocent in Controversial Lawsuit

EBRIM HASZ — At noon today, the honorable Judge Szal si Ahuden heard the case of Magerius Ukumari II vs. Alisa Nikitina. The verdict saw Partisan Chair Nikitina be cleared of the two charges that were held against her, upholding the Party decision to remove Ukumari's election application.
Magerius Ukumari II, primarily a Sentaran national, had his bid for General Secretary removed by the Partisan Chair because he was not a part of any Zilatran claim. This marks the first of a few expected cases to see the courtroom regarding controversial measures by the Party, including an upcoming case regarding the Party decision to redistribute inactive members away from the Party.
Ukumari has since sued Nikitina, pressing charges of a Constitutional Violation (§I-B-II) and Infringement of Citizen’s Rights to Legitimate Elections (§D-VII). Nikitina was found innocent of both charges to the amusement (and dissapointment) of many spectators.
This creates a situation of precedence and case law, meaning that those who are not in a Zilatran claim are not given the rights to run in elections, meaning similar cases in the future are likely to result in an upholding of this policy.
