Remnant From The Past (OOC)

In 310 TE David Venkesel-Sarot, the Commissioner of Culture of the United Socialist States of Eldham for the previous 22 years, and a long-serving member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party, resigned from all of his positions and immediately disappeared. As it's been 30 years since the destruction of Eldham and 40 years since DVKS disappeared, historians came to believe that he died alongside Eldham and Rathnir. But this claim didn't meet a consensus among scholarly circles.

In 0VE Diogo Ronango'O, then still a low-profile scholar, organized a group of researchers with the goal of understanding what happened to DVKS because they viewed his being a cosmic entity as justification for the belief that he is still alive.

And Diogo has led this effort for the past 30 years. Having become a part of his the Scholars Without Borders and a t times using resources from the University of Zilatra for this cause. And finally, they've reached their goal. In one of the unclaimed areas along the coast of Arctic Bloom, Zilatran researcher "Tiqa si Hacze" led an expedition as part of research conducted by the SWB organization.

Just as the team was about to end their expedition, one of the ships was destroyed by an entity beyond comprehension. Those who survived were driven insane immediately, and it seemed only Tuqa was able to continue functioning. In what he later claimed was an event related to his role as a Makerist Abbot back in Zilatra, Tuqa was able to use Makerist chants to stop this entity and cage it with some kind of spell.

The incident couldn't be kept secret for long as all expedition members other than Tuqa were discharged with them going insane. And in response, the Council of Scholars of the SWB proceded too decide to contan this entity of a ship designed specifically for this to remain afloat in neutral waters, a controversial move, but this allowed them to understand that the entity is none other than David Venkesel-Sarot.
