Strikes, Arrests, and Banishments

In the later hours of August the 16th, festering developments led to the announcement of three strikes in Zilatra. Led by YopoOmi, Transaria, Hafumel, and Drudakroz announced intentions to strike in protest of government inaction in relation to the crimes of Zephyr Astorian. Astorian was previously a government member of the Dominion of Sentara, is still an active mayor of their second largest city, and retains good relations with current ministers there.

However, for several weeks he has independently attacked citizens in Hafumel and Transaria, and stolen items from both towns. Additionaly, he has on multiple occasions assulted ZSD agents on duty in important posts on patrol and guarding the ASI-Holy League conference. These crimes disturbing the peace and causing disruptions have led to wide outrange in many circles, while no solution had been reached. Sentaran officials such as Magerius al Solari refused to discipline this rogue behavior and the raids continued unopposed.

As such, Transaria held a vote to strike on the 16th, passing 9-0. Drudakroz also planed to hold a town referendum, but private discussions led the mayor to retract the referendum. Meanwhile, Hafumel voiced support for Transaria and planned a meeting on the 18th to decide whether to join the strike. These developments brought attention to members of the Zilatran government, and on the 17th August the ZSD arrested Astorian. Both Astorian and Magerius voiced their calls for a trial, which was discussed, bu in the end a settlement was reached, and the High Judge Tal si Hala banished Zephyr Astorian from Zilatra. This satisfied the striking workers, and the situation was solved.
