The First Zilatran of the Season
The Crimson Quill will now institute a new action called "Zilatran of the Season" every 3 months, recognising one Zilatran as having the greatest impact on our society over the course of the season. While this first recognition is a little into the winter now, it will be about the most significant Zilatran in the Fall of 2024.
We at the Crimson Quill are proud to award General Secretary Abusaja si Baqiya, also known as Leafahim, with the designation "Zilatran of the Season" for the Fall of 2024. No citizen of our great nation has has a more significant impact on Zilatra as he has, and his contributions have been indisputable.
Anusaja emerged in Zilatra in late may last year (2024), coming to Gaszalasi with the intent of "just being a citizen". However, he quickly showed himself to be one of the most hard-working and productive members of our nation. he was the best worker in the Industrial Commissariat for a significant period of time, and was soon promoted to Assistant Commissar in the Construction Commissariat by Eksultant Prym.
He rained there for a few weeks helping run building events before being appointed to the position of Industrial Commissar of Zilatra. This came during the National Programme initiative under the second administration of Yadal Krakhovich and Ahudenya si Dal. he far outshone his contemporaries in activity and competency, quickly learning the skills necessary for his position from experts. In particular, he turned to Miril Portalmaker of Sentara to teach him the ways of economic management on Stoneworks. As dozens of migrants flooded to Zilatra through mid-July, Abusaja was able to handle the eager workers and meet the difficult demands that the growing system needed.
Abusaja spent months as a popular and well-regarded commissar, leading up to his campaign for General Secretary in late October. He would make a run for the position alongside Note Kiriznian against a myriad of opponents, as the incumbents Yadal and Ahudenya were making no bids for either General or Deputy Secretary. They led the first round of the election, leading to a runoff election against ZSD Major General Zaaki si Taqaden and Eksar Prym (myself). Leaf found broad-based support from both the citizenry and from allies in Sentara, holding several rallies to raise support for his campaign. In the November debate against Zaaki, he answered questions confidently and eloquently, holding a respectful stance to his opponent.
In the end, he was able to win the election with a significant margin of victory, holding more than 60% of the electorate. While it took some time to select his cabinet, he went on to run a remarkably successful administration over the next two months. For the duration of autumn, Abusaja oversaw the merging of many major government branches of Zilatra with Sentara, in particular the diplomatic, economic, and military sectors. Additionally, he led the nation into war alongside Sentara against he criminal Tristqn in Fort Chippewa. He has also maintained a neutral stance towards the Tiberium and kept Zilatra out of other foreign affairs. Abusaja has improved relationship with other nations in tandem with Deputy Secretary Kirizaian and Foreign Commissar Toku'aui Ronango'O, increasing ties with the USA, Valdic Union, and other nations.
Abusaja has also left Zilatra in growing territory, gaining the former Morenyevan territory to our east and adopting andliria as a Zilatran protectorate in northern Kejafros. He has also seen the minimisation of squatters and increased territorial integrity.
The GenSec has additionally overseen great economic activities, expanding our capacities in that regard. His leadership, in partnership with Industrial Commissar Emerald, has maintained our status as one of the world's greatest economic powerhouses and centres of financial potential.
In conclusion, Abusaja si Baqiya is the Zilatran of the Season as a result of his leadership of the nation while expanding and maintaining our advantages, while improving our weak spots. He ha increased our reputation internationally and gained us territory, while preserving relative peace at home and building a noteworthy economic system. Probably most importantly is his symbolism as a figure of the competent Zilatran, multi-talented and hard-working to grow our nation to its fullest. His leadership is sure to go down in Zilatran history.
