The USA is Born (Abexilas Version)

On the 25th of August, the player ElKool announced the creation of the United States of Adramis, or USA, in Northeast Abexilas. The new union now has one of the largest nations in the server by land area, and brings a new world power to consideration in global politics. On that Sunday, I interviewed the USA President, ElKool, to discuss the new state and his plans for the foundling country.

Eksos: What is the United States of Adramis in your own words?
ElKool: The USA is the union of the 8 major powers of Adramis (continent in Northeast Abexilas): Zamotz, Maravilla, Las Vides, Velarim, Oynthos-Centuria, Odravir, Maharia, and Muharib.

Eksos: What kind of a nation is it?
ElKool: The great states of Adramis are unified under the common ideals and principles of Democracy, Federalism, consent of the governed, free speech, and liberty.

Eksos: How does the USA's government and society work?
ElKool: Our government is a system where the legislature makes all the major decisions for our nation by a vote. A portion of our legislature is made up of representatives appointed by the states to represent the state, and another portion is elected by the citizens in a general election. It is the job of the president and his cabinet to execute the will of the legislature.

As for our society, our society places high emphasis on progress. Whether it's economic progress, architectural progress, or political progress, the people of Adramis are very hard-working and ambitious.

(Answering an outside comment) ElKool: Yea, the people of Adramis tends to see communism as a more stagnant ideology, our society has a more forward-looking outlook.

Eksos: What kind of projects and initiatives are you and the government of the USA planning to do now that your are united as one nation? Basically, how will society and development change as a result of the union?
ElKool: Our first project will be to break away from the Cathramis and declare Adramis not a "sub" continent but a true continent in its own right. We will consider anyone who calls Adramis a "sub" continent an enemy to the people of Adramis. (Noted this was exclusive info for the Crimson Quill).

Eksos: Good to know, will not make that mistake, lol.
ElKool: As far as other projects go, we highly recommend all colonists evacuate the continent of Adramis ASAP.

Eksos: Makes sense ... What other foreign policy initiatives do you have planned? Where does the USA stand internationally?
ElKool: If the nations of Abex were in a race, they would all be trying to trip each other and push each other down way back towards the start [Meanwhile], [the USA] would be standing at the finish line setting up a toll stand for those who cross it. This is because we own the finish line!

Eksos: How does this translate into policy? And how does the USA decide what to charge who?
ElKool: Freedom lovers get discounts. Colonizers pay extra.

Eksos: I see. Does the USA plan on getting involved significantly in international affairs, or will you be focused on getting Adramis sorted out first?
ElKool: Adramis is our priority.

Eksos: What is the USA's opinion on international agreements such as the Holy League, which seek to further imperialist agendas in the name of elitism and reactionary fear?
ElKool: The Holy League is the anti-communist alliance, yea? (Yes) While we might not share the same beliefs and ideologies as the red nations in Stoneworks, we do believe in your right to those beliefs. I have both fought against and alongside communist nations in the past and I personally respect their devotion to their ideology in a similar way we are devoted to our ideology here. I am actually familiar with the founder of your philosophy, Xeroise, they are a big fan of mine. If you speak to them tell them I say hello.

Eksos: Will do. Do you have any other plans for agreements with foreign nations such as NAPs or otherwise?
ElKool: No plans, and anyone who asks us for an NAP better have a good reason.
