Zilatra Bathed in Conspiracy

EAST HARJUBA — This article is in no way meant to provoke disharmony or conflict with any given organisation or peoples, and the workers of the Crimson Quill only seek to have further peace with friends abroad.
With that said, Zilatra is a nation born from conspiracy. The homeland of its founders, the USSE, had a history of suspicion and reactionary pushback based off of fear, all a result of ideological differences. Regardless, as Eldham drew to a close, the citizens of the USSE had a decision to make: continue with a new Xeroist project, or make something new. Two figures of the nation had differing ideas. Magerius, a military leader and longtime past General Secretary, believed in building a monarchist nation based on the lore of a religion called Aratea; this nation would become the Dominion of Sentara, and eventually turn to socialism after the bureaucratic difficulties of the monarchist system became apparent.
At the same time, another individual, Karkhov, believed in keeping the Xeroist cause alive; he and other figures such as Ahudenya si Dal would build the Xeroist Republic of Zilatra. Over time, while both Sentara and Zilatra both became embroidered with Xeroism, it would largely be Zilatra who carried the legacy of conspiracy from Eldham.
This brings us to the modern day. Zilatra is a thriving nation making friendly interactions abroad, and yet people still do not trust the Xeroists. In international media, articles still spread fear mongering messages of a "Xeroist conspiracy" entered in Zilatra that seeks to unbalance the world order. This is nothing new however, and begins back in Abexilas' early days with mistrust of Zilatra from the founders of nations.
It is all, of course, blatant nonsense, and these people know that. It comes down to reactionary fear and some sense of responsibility to fight what they deem a "threat" in any way they can because it is interesting. After all, what would you rather read? A story about a local café opening, or a social Xeroist conspiracy maliciously and illegally rising to try and endanger the innocent people of the world? The latter is clearly more interesting, and as such some people see it as the way forward.
As such, we at the Crimson Quill believe in spreading truth, specifically in a way that encourages critical thinking. While it may be easier for some to see our nation as "spooky 1984 country that eats babies", in reality we ado the best we can to improve the lives of our people. In accordance with these goals, we would like to definitively encourage our readers to remain vigilant of lies. To use use the media, an institution of truth, as a weapon to spread lies is a distortion of the journalistic effort of workers around the world. ◾︎
