"Zilatra First", Gallania last? (SATIRE)
On the 20th August, the application period for the Zilatran General Secretary elections opened. So far (at the time of writing) only two applicants have made themselves known: the Transanarian mayor, Kwala Serebra, and the Gallanian General Secretary, Kellä C. S. Nikola. Despite a cordial first few hours of each campaign – with Kellä publishing a duo of posters designed by his uncle, Aįchë Linadär – the Kwala campaign was quick to launch a hate campaign of fuelling anti-Gallanian fervour.
Several pro-Kwala individuals have chipped in to the ongoing, racist, campaign. For example, newly elected Kelitá representative Art Inkman has designed various anti-Gallanian caricatures, in particular implying Gallanians are naturally weak, small, etcetera, and comparing them to rats – this has also angered the small population of Arratis immigrants within the borders of Zilatra.
All of this came to a head earlier today, at time of writing, when mass anti-Gallanian rallies were witnessed. The streets were littered with Zilatrans, hoisting Zilatran flags, waving anti-Gallanian placards and shouting racist slogans.
Some of these chants witnessed included "Zilatra for Zilatrans", "Where do we want 'em? In the sea!", and "Put them down!", along with a lieu of other chants and slogans.
Several marches also saw a high prevalence of pro-Kwala placards and marches. The largest were seen in Transaria, Kwala's own town, and the capital Gazsalasi. When coming into contact with the ZSD.
The organisation suspected to be behind these is the elusive "Zilatra First", a group of racists who regularly deliver vigilante 'justice' upon those they deem too foreign; from what is known of them, their demands include a far tougher border policy, retraction from the ASI, and legal favourability being placed upon those who're ethnically Zilatran.
