The YXL dissolves!
Gaszalasi — The Young Xeroist League (YXL) in the summer of 161 VE, has dissolved as an organisation inside of the political structure of the Xeroist Union Party after a deadline to do so was reached in that year, following the conclusion of the YXL working group. This conclusion determined that the YXL would dissolve at this given date after a temporary period where applications to join the YXL were removed but members that were already there could stay in it. This came after a lengthy time of critique and complaints regarding its inactivity grew larger and larger, with the newly elected Partisan Chair at that time, Yegeda si Lasaya, planning to address the issue during her term.
The Young Xeroist League was originally created based on the conclusions of an earlier working group in the party to form it to mobilise and educate the youth about Xeroism in the country and to train them to join and become proper cadres in the main party with it being guided by a Youth Representative to oversee the organisation. However it soon began to fall short of expectations as there was no active meetings or discussions even held, with only small open letters being posted here, with this espeically becoming a bigger issue during the later days of the YXL. As mentioned with the above newer working group, the YXL was announced to be "phased out" and given the dissolution date of 161 VE due to these failures, as a lot of people who joined the YXL didn't "graduate" to the XUP or apply to join it at all.
Overall, it could be considered to be a necessary form of political experimentation for the party at a time where it was also itself facing the issue of inactivity (which it still faces today), however, it largely divided and blocked newcomers from properly being able to join the Xeroist Union party while also not promoting much fruitful results in educating or training the Zilatran youth to be more knowledgeable about the ideals of Xeroism.
